Merge PDF files in filename order with PDFtk

pdftk-merge is a PDF concatenation node powered by PDFtk Java that follows filename order.

Agent

overview

What pdftk-merge does

Supply 2 to 10 top-level PDF files. Native PDFtk Java concatenates them in case-sensitive filename order and returns merged.pdf, dump-data.txt, text.txt and summary.json with input order, page counts and output hash. Source files remain unchanged.

Inputs are limited to 16 MiB per file, 32 MiB total and 100 merged pages. Nested files, symbolic links and password inputs are unsupported. Each native step has a 120-second timeout and Java heap is 256 MiB. Concatenation can change PDF signatures and interactive forms.

Input or native processing failures fail the operation. The operation keeps the supplied source unchanged.

This operation uses 3.3.2. Upstream license: GPL-2.0-or-later. The source link identifies the program used by this node.

guidance

Choosing pdftk-merge

Use this node to concatenate complete PDF files in explicit filename order. qpdf offers broader structural PDF operations. This operation checks page/text results, not signature or interactive-form fidelity.

qpdf

Offers other structural PDF operations; this node concatenates whole files in filename order.
