# Connecting Chat Channels

## Before you start

The **Channels** page lets you use the Agent from Slack. Open **Settings > Agent > Channels**.

The page is available when the workspace has [Managed AI](/docs/key-concepts/agent/managed-ai). A provider key alone does not make Chat channels available. You do not need Slack to use the Agent in Trickest.

## Connect Slack

Under **Workspace installation**, select **Add to Slack**. That adds the Trickest app to the Slack workspace your team will use.

Under **Your account link**, select **Link my account**. Each person links their own Trickest account. Until you link, the Agent cannot answer your Slack messages.

Mention the Agent in a channel, or send it a direct message. Linked messages use your Trickest access.

If the page says Slack is not set up, ask an administrator to configure it.

## Disconnect

**Disconnect** removes the Slack workspace connection. The Agent stops answering in Slack until you connect again.

**Unlink** removes only your account link.
